Back in the '60s, during the summers, Belgrade faced with a lack of presence of music artists and significant music events, so it prompted Mr. Dušan Trbojević to suggest to Jeunesses Musicales Belgrade to make the most of the beauty of ancient Kalemegdan fortress and city of Belgrade in the most beautiful moment one could experience – at sunset.
From the beginning of New Millenium, Jeunesses Musicales Belgrade is organizing a series of concerts ”Back in Cvijeta” at the Art Pavilion "Cvijeta Zuzorić" - Kalemegdan. The main objective of this music project is a support and promotion of music artists, both young and prominent.
One of the most important and longest projects of Jeunesses Musicales are School Concerts and Music Saturdays, specially created and dedicated for children and youth.
The Summer Academy of Sacred Music by Jeunesses Musicales Serbia/Belgrade was founded in 1992 with the blessing of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The project was initiated by academician Dimitrije Stefanovic, coordinator of Jeunesses Musicales – Miodrag Pavlovic (1932-2002) and musicologist prof. Dr Snežana Nikolajević.
Programme develops following competencies: instrumental, interpersonal and systemic (knowledge of foreign languages, communication and verbal skills, application of knowledge in practice, electronic literacy and practical use), theoretical and practical knowledge, know-how and skills, creativity, communication skills and emotional development.
